The results of “the Malaysia Kitchen Photography Competition” were announced
Winners of Malaysia Kitchen Photography Competition
The Malaysia Kitchen Photography Competition which was held jointly by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and Photo-on-net., a Hong Kong non-profit making photography association, began from mid-March 2011 to 13 May 2011. The first of its kind photography competition under the Malaysia Kitchen Programme had drawn over three hundred entries of digital pictures from Hong Kong and Macau residents, results of which were announced at a cordial party hosted by MATRADE on 22 May 2011 in the Nikko Hotel, Tsim Sha Tsui East.
Café Serena of Nikko Hotel and Cinta-J were two of the most enthusiastic participating restaurants throughout the competition, being venue sponsors and suppliers of food as well as showcase one of Asia's most celebrated Malaysian cuisine chefs, Jack and his specialty team.
Jack has made Hong Kong his home decades ago and become major chef to Nikko Hotel for the past few years. Jack was invited to every event that promoted the competition, giving cooking performance on location, along with other event celebrities and entertainers in town such as master Chow Chung, Mr Willie Chan, renowned Malaysian born Artiste Manager/Film Director and Producer and his lineup of stars as well as Mr Ronan Pak, TVB artiste / Mr Hong Kong 2010 finalist.

At the reception, Mr. Edison Choong, Trade Commissioner of MATRADE offered an opening speech in front of a group of guests who came to share the joy, fun, talent and food that made up the theme of the competition. The results came from a discreet panel of photography judges consisting of Professor of Art, Famous Hong Kong Artist, Film Directors, Successful Photographers and Creative Innovators. All the winners’ works were being displayed in the lobby of Nikko Hotel that drew public interest to Malaysian dishes, food photography and those who appreciate art, talent and exotic cuisine.
